Concert association aims for quality
Submitted by admin on Mon, 04/14/2008 - 16:23.
The mission of the Hutchinson Concert Association is bring quality music to Hutchinson. For an investment ranging from $18 for a student to $75 for a family, members can enjoy a variety of musical entertainment. The 2008-2009 season features: Fascinating Gershwin, Just Friends, Opus 2 and the Synergy Brass Quintet. Since its founding in 1982, the organization’s goal has been to increase interest in and appreciation of cultural events by providing a variety of performing artists for the community’s enjoyment. Concerts range from solo performances to vocal and instrumental groups. The season follows the school year running from September through May. The Hutchinson Concert Association has a reciprocal agreement with the Glencoe Performing Artists Series whereby members may attend each other’s concerts for the price of one membership. Glencoe’s offerings for the 2008-2009 season include Small Town Stories, Trumpet Invasion and the April Verch Band. For details about the Hutchinson Concert Association, call Jeanne Langan at (320) 587-5842, or e-mail eannelangan@netscape.net. Advertising |
